The Beginning
As a writer and editor for Fortune 500 companies and independent start-up publications, I began to realize just how important quality writing and editing is to so many diverse industries. In 2013, I began assisting undergraduate and graduate students with academic papers, essays and articles. During this time I discovered my ability to translate best writing practices in a more consultative way. Later, I received requests from friends and family members to help write resumés and cover letters. Additionally, I began polishing emails to send to professors and job recruiters. Soon after, I began writing web copy and learning the subtle art of SEO writing.
During this time, I also had the opportunity to serve as the editor of both an online magazine and print magazine. It was here that I began to cultivate my own approach to content. I began creating a stronger online presence through a combination of word of mouth and consistently producing high quality content. I’ve recently taken up scriptwriting as well, and more than ever, I ‘m seeing the execution of strong writing across several different types of mediums.
